Hot Artichoke Gunk

   1      C             Artichoke Hearts -- coarsely chopped

   1      Clove         Garlic -- minced

   1      C             Mayonnaise

   1      C             Parmesan Cheese -- grated

     1/4  Tsp           Soy Sauce

          Dash          Hot Pepper Sauce

                        Pepper -- freshly ground

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

 

Drain artichokes and chop.  Combine with garlic, mayonnaise, 3/4 cup cheese, the soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, and fresh pepper to taste.  Place in a shallow baking dish.  Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup cheese.  Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.

 

Serving Ideas : Serve with toast or crackers

 

NOTES : Marinated artichokes can be substituted for the water-packed artichokes.
